Its not too often that you get the chance to listen to great live music on a gorgeous piece of land on the river AND burn a trailer at the end of the night, but that’s exactly what happened at the Huffer Hideout in Centennial, Wyoming on June 18th, 2016.   Jalan Crossland’s famous song “Trailer Park Fire” literally came to life with this once-in-a-lifetime event.  I had the opportunity to make the event flyer, and used a photograph I took of one of the largest fires I had ever been to, although I must say, this one was bigger.

People started to arrive for the show early, and there was a steady line of cars coming in for hours.

The trailer was prepped by the Centennial Valley Fire Department and we waited for the sun to go down before the burn.  The event was hosted by the Huffer’s, who have an absolutely gorgeous property which quickly filled up with tents.

Local musician Timothy John kicked off the whole event followed by 10 Cent Stranger, The Peculiar Patriots, and J Shogren and the Shanghai’d.

As the sun went down, the atmosphere became more and more festive as anticipation built when Jalan finally took the stage.

The trailer was lit and the REAL party began as we all go to witness the burn while listening to Jalan Crossland play on the stage just out of the reach of the flames tucked away in the woods.

There was hooting, hollering, and celebration as Jalan played his “Trailer Park Fire” song to the flickering flames of an actual trailer fire!

Thank you so much to all the local musicians who played and everyone who pitched in to make this event happen including Chris at the Yard, BendeRuble Sound, Square State Film, The Huffer Family, and the many many others who chipped in.  It makes me so thrilled to live in Wyoming where such gatherings still take place.  Thanks so much to the Huffer’s for allowing us all to enjoy their beautiful piece of land and for generously donating your hospitality to us all.  I doubt any of us will forget it!
