When Amy and James asked me if I would be be their photographer for their Irish-American barefoot sunset wedding outside of Curt Gowdy State Park, Wyoming, my answer was yes before they could even tell me there was going to be a traditional Irish mead toast – with accompanying custom made wooden mead glasses.   Did I mention there was lots of delicious Irish (and Laramie!) mead?  Such a beautiful place was only fitting for such an equally beautiful pair.  The Irish hand fasting ceremony took place halfway between Laramie and Cheyenne at Windy Hills Guest House and it’s bed, breakfast, and 67 acres of nature’s finest overlooking the beautiful Granite Lake just outside of the mountains and hills of Curt Gowdy State Park, Wyoming.  It had been raining all week solid (which is rare for the high plains of Wyoming!) but the clouds cleared just for the evening so this couple could literally tie the knot under a beautiful sunset.  It’s truly an honor to be a part of such wonderful people’s lives and do whatever I can to capture and share all the beauty and love at their natural, barefoot, and beautiful wedding!
