Clothing: Keep It Simple

When picking out what to wear for your business headshot portrait, remember to keep it simple.  Choose a classic solid colored top or wear a dark jacket or sweater over a simple blouse.  Try to avoid bold patterns and if you aren’t sure what color looks best, stick to solid neutral colored clothing.  Dark colors are often great choices.

Hair: Let It Loose

Most of the time for women, your hair will look best in your business headshot if its worn down, not pulled up or back.  Let your hair loose and be sure it’s styled simply and freshly washed.

Jewelry: Stay Neutral

Keep your jewelry simple and tasteful.  Typically, you want to wear earrings that are no larger than your thumbnail.  If you are going to wear a necklace as well, try to have your earrings match your necklace.
