The Symbols and Elise Wunder Live at WhatFest Music Festival in Riverside, Wyoming

| |

Have you ever been to a music festival in a town with a population of 52 people? WhatFest is Wyoming’s premier music festival hosted on July 28th and 19th, 2017 at the Bear Trap Cafe and Bar in the small town of Riverside, Wyoming where there were more people attending the music festival for the weekend than the entire population of the town many times over. Fort Collins, Colorado based The Symbols kicked off the festival on the outdoor stage with a rocking set full of sultry sounds from lead singer and vocal powerhouse Mer Sal while Don Stahl kept the beat together kickin it on the drums. Lead guitarist Jasco Duende serenaded us with a spectacularly beautiful set of flamenco style acoustic guitar.  Elise Wunder, also based out of Colorado, opened up the indoor stage with an equally powerful solo acoustic set as she wooed us all with her unique and angelic voice. If you love sitting under the big Western sky away from the hustle and bustle of the city life and like the idea of being able to take a quick walk to a pristine river full of trout in-between listening to band after band of live music all weekend, then plan on going to WhatFest next year.  We hope to see you there, since this small town music festival really is a one-of-a-kind Wyoming community experience that is not one to be missed. There are few places left were the quality of the music and people is as good as the view of the stars.
