Karen and Michael’s dreamy western wedding took place in the middle of a big winter snow storm in mid-December on the high plains in Laramie, Wyoming.  The bride was well suited for the cold weather with the most gorgeous handmade deerskin wedding dress you’ve ever seen by Celeste Sotola at Montana Dreamwear.  The custom made pearls and copper details attached to the dress make it a truly stunning and unique work of art in itself.  The bride had a custom made wedding day cowboy hat with a gorgeous white leather rose, also made by Celeste Sotola at Montana Dreamwear.  Her very Western special wedding day cowboy boots from Corral were perfectly made with leather and lace, too.

The ceremony took place under the most beautiful stained glass windows inside St Laurence O’Toole Catholic Church.  The low afternoon light was absolutely perfect and was streaming through the windows, casting beautiful colorful light on the entire wedding party.

The reception took place at the beautiful Quadra Dangle Square Dance Hall.  This winter wedding featured pine cone bouquets, rustic burlap mason jars, and a pot luck dinner that included dishes with five different types of wild game meat!  The pine cone bouquets and boutonnieres were hand made by MomoRadRose‘s rustic wedding accessories.  It was a wonderful wedding fest suitable for a Texas bride living in Wyoming.  The ice cream cake was made by Jeffrey’s Bistro and was absolutely to die for delicious.  Dan D Party Corner supplied chairs and event rentals.

The first dance was upstairs in the absolutely gorgeous log cabin style all-American dance hall.  The bridge and groom waltzed under the most dreamy Christmas lights.  We just cannot get enough of the beautiful trussing and framing of this grand hall!

Lucky for us, the snowstorm stopped and the sun finally came out.  The outdoorsy newlyweds had no problem heading out to the high plains to take the bride’s deerskin dress for a spin in the sun and snow.

Congratulations on your marriage, Karen and Michael! I had absolutely the best time getting to know you both as well as spending time with your patient, brave, and loving friends and family members.  You two are both one of a kind, and I am so thankful I got to be there at your wedding!
