My Chacos have a special place in my heart.  They have taken me on many many adventures.  They have hiked miles upon miles of mountains and trails, soaked in the ocean, taken me fishing, been used as pool shoes, gotten muddy, dropped, lost, and I even broke my foot in them once (not my most fond Chaco memory).

These shoes are more than just shoes.  They are memories.  At least, this is what I tell myself since the webbing on my beloved Chacos is finally ripping and wearing out and the thought of simply buying a new pair just doesn’t seem right.

One of the many many reasons I love Chaco is because they understand that we tend to have a strange, borderline unhealthy attachment to our shoes.  For only $25, I can send these babies back in and get them both re-webbed with a new color and a new look.

Now that summer is winding down (at least it is here at 7,200 feet!), my Chaco tan is in full swing, and close toed shoe season is just around the corner, I just might send these puppies back in for a makeover.  They’ve last me 4 seasons of hiking, and after some new straps, I look forward to many many more unwanted trail shots of my usually dirty feet 🙂

If you’re looking to get a new pair of durable, comfortable, awesome sandals, pick yourself up a pair of Chacos.  If you’re anything like me, you’ll fall into a strange loving relationship with your shoes that I just don’t have with any of my winter boots.  If you’re itching to shop those end of summer sales or just can’t wait, pick yourself up your own pair below and I hope you enjoy the ride as much as I do.
