Landscapes, Leather, and Live Edge Local Art Exhibition Featuring 5 Laramie, Wyoming Artists

You’re invited to “Landscapes, Leather, and Live Edge,” a group fine art exhibition and free public art show featuring the work of five Laramie, Wyoming based participating artists including Celeste Havener, Gary Havener, Abi Paytoe Gbayee, Niki DeLancey, and Allison Pluda of Seneca Creek Studios on display and for sale for the entire month of July 2018 at the new non-profit ArtConnect Gallery in historic downtown Laramie, Wyoming.

“Landscapes, Leather, and Live Edge” is a contemporary art exhibition to appreciate the spirit and culture of Wyoming through the creative perspective of five different local artists, each who derive some of their inspiration from the surrounding Western landscape and lifestyle and have used a different medium to transform their individual Wyoming experiences into art. The exhibition features familiar Western themes and subjects such as rugged landscapes of the Snowy Range Mountains, dark Wyoming starry skies, Sheep Mountain, red Indian Indian Paintbrush flowers, big bull moose, cowhides, animal furs, horses, wooden furniture, leather, coyote skulls, and all the colors in a beautiful Wyoming sunrise.

Included in the exhibition is Allison Pluda’s stunning and vivid metal print fine art photography of local landscapes and starscapes, Celeste Havener’s original oil paintings of the captivating beauty of the Centennial Valley and her 3D doodle sculptures made from bailing wire of moose, horses, and pronghorn, Abi Paytoe Gbayee’s one-of-a-kind hand painted animal skulls and silk scarfs inspired by Wyoming road trips, Niki DeLancey’s unique tooled leather artwork and earrings as well as her BS Bench that won peoples choice award at the Governor’s Capitol Art Exhibition at the Wyoming State Museum, and Gary’s contemporary live edge furniture made from the hands of a true craftsman with almost 50 years experience working with wood.

Stop by to view the exhibition or take home a piece of Wyoming and support a local artist July 1st through July 31st Thursdays 12 to 6pm, Fridays 12pm to 7pm, Saturdays 10am to 6pm, Sundays 12pm to 4pm, or by appointment at ArtConnect Gallery located at 302 S 2nd St next to Works of Wyoming on the southwest corner of 2nd and Grand in historic downtown Laramie, Wyoming.
